A Gift
My best Mother's Day gift to myself for going out alone to celebrate my motherhood in nature with Mother Nature. The harmony and love of a mother is unconditional. The beauty of the earth finally bursts out with immense color to make us see its love to soothe my soul. I felt the arms of Mother Nature welcoming me to join in her happiness sans the mosquitoes. Perfect Poem by Donna Ashworth: (check out the whole poem) There comes a day, somewhere in the middle of every woman’s life, when Mother Nature herself stands behind us and wraps her arms around our shoulders, whispering “It’s time.” “You have taken enough now. It’s time to stop growing up, stop growing older and start growing wiser – and wilder. “to write the ending, or new beginning, of your own story.”

Dreamy Reflections
Still Reflections...winter brings out the interesting skeletal structure of the trees and just a little bit of water can turn it into a star of the show for serenity and peace.

Kissed by sun
The secret to a good morning is to watch the sunrise with an open heart. May your heart opens to enjoy every moment before losing in the noise of the world...listen to the chirp and quiet moments as part of life. Everything changes for the good unknown to us. We had a lovely sunrise on our last day on this gorgeous lake which was quite a trip of a few days to get here. It's like a little secret in nature that just takes your breath away with these mighty rocks around you.
Larches Magic
Some moody days call for sipping your favorite warm drink with a view like this and some rain. I landed on this place with my teacher as I really wanted to experience the larches. It is one of my favorites to try to photograph in the year if I can. The weather was mostly rainy but by the time we reached here, it started snowing too a little. We did not want to return but made the best of our time. The colors were even more magical of these trees in the fog and rain.
Last of the Night
Caught the buck moon as it was setting in the Olympics. It went down super fast! It was so red and orange. Love the Buck Moon! My favorite kind of fireworks! Long awaited summertime to renew ourselves like the antlers of a buck.
Lead me here
Magical light at sunset: Sometimes nature has plans you are unaware of, and it happens to me so many times...trust in and go with the flow is my motto. To kill time, I went on a hike at another location and pretty soon, everything was fogged up super thick. Optimistic, I climbed up here, tired from hiking all day, huffing and puffing with all my camera gear. I walked as far as I could to shoot Mt. Rainier but saw the sun on the left, so I turned my attention...and started walking down, chasing the light. I came to a dead end, so I walked back up and down again in another direction and saw this happening...I had less than 5 minutes to shoot this...and trusted whatever my new camera would capture. Hoping it didn't fail me as I hadn't even used it yet..till this day. The mountains and the color from the sun in the clouds were gone after this. If I were to separate all the threads of light from a sunset Into strings to play chords for a glorious harmony, Could it be grander than thou? You are a great symphony of colour and sound, Even more magnificent than this exalting panoply! Your effulgence is the ceaseless amber fire in my heart. You're the strings, the brasses and the winds, You're all the high notes, soft notes and tender notes, All the orange hues, bronzes and golds! You're all the magic of sunset and more, All the cherished dreams of twilight reverie and sun kissed daydreams of dawn awakening, You are the mesmeric fantasia that plays on and on! - Alexander Thomas

Be My Valentine
A secret place where fairies live, except when it is not gail winds. Day 4 of 8 here at this lake...boy we had a crazy wind storm all night. I could not even sleep a wink worrying if our tent would last at all. We had such a lovely sunny beautiful hiking day with crazy number of creeks and waterways to cross to get here. I was so exhausted but that did not stop my mind from worrying in the night. We were the only ones in this lake. This was such a pretty spot of the lake. As the morning sun was about to rise, it turned everything in so many colors and then this gold. What a treat!
