Sway me Away
Before the last of the flowers had faded, I was drawn to the trail just after my trip had ended. It was a joy to experience this with my dear friend...as the moon rose gently and a soft breeze began to whisper...its delicate scent wafted along the path...it seemed to joyfully greet me. Nature has a subtle way of dressing in the fresh colors of spring. Captivated by its beauty, I allowed the gentle breeze to guide my decision on how to best capture this serene moment. Pure bliss of flowers!

A Gift
My best Mother's Day gift to myself for going out alone to celebrate my motherhood in nature with Mother Nature. The harmony and love of a mother is unconditional. The beauty of the earth finally bursts out with immense color to make us see its love to soothe my soul. I felt the arms of Mother Nature welcoming me to join in her happiness sans the mosquitoes. Perfect Poem by Donna Ashworth: (check out the whole poem) There comes a day, somewhere in the middle of every woman’s life, when Mother Nature herself stands behind us and wraps her arms around our shoulders, whispering “It’s time.” “You have taken enough now. It’s time to stop growing up, stop growing older and start growing wiser – and wilder. “to write the ending, or new beginning, of your own story.”
Ask and you shall recieve
I hiked pretty solo all through my trip. On this day, I had to cross some water crossings on my own for the first time, remembering the times my husband helped me cross most of them. I still found some kind souls to be my company this day as I was the last hiker left in this place. Driving back from the trailhead, I stopped multiple times to get out and take photos - I guess my day was not over when I saw the sky turning pink and red for a short time. What a sweet surprise with asters! The pinkish, lavender asters took on the color of the sky to blend as one - as if they made a path that someone could walk to meet the sky. Oh heaven!
